Juliette and Andrew get roped into working over Christmas for their haunted house show because a previously filmed episode won't be able to be aired. They end up going to Andrew's family home, Garnock Hall, which is rumored to be haunted, but Andrew doesn't believe it is.During their time filming, and trying to make an acceptable Christmas dinner for the two of them Andrew is forced to deal with past demons regarding the home and his brother's death. Juliette, being newly single, does a great job of adjusting to her changed Christmas plans and digs deep into the house and family history.
It was a very interesting story with some mildly creepy parts. I loved how both Andrew and Juliette came to terms with their feelings for one another while at the same time being concerned for the other's feelings. I loved the descriptions of Garnock Hall and I could just imagine the huge home hosting weddings and parties.

The last thing Juliette had planned for the Christmas holidays is to be working alongside Andrew at Garnock Hall in Scotland. They are filming for the show, Haunted Ever After. Andrew grew up in Garnock Hall with many sad memories. Juliette has decided to bring the magic of Christmas back into the hall, to make it a happy place not sad.
This book will surely put the magic back into the Christmas season with all the decorations and food. Is this a secret santa town?
This one had none of the conflicts of the previous stories in the series. Just a guy and a girl in a Scottish mansion... lights that flicker and a "what to do with the place" question.
Though the majority is set in a poorly heated, old Scottish castle, this story warmed me to my toes. Loved the setup. When an episode of their Haunted Ever After TV show is scrapped, Andrew invites Juliette to travel with him to his family home over the holidays to film an impromptu, replacement episode based on the rumored 'hauntings' there. But instead of finding ghosts, Juliette helps Andrew to put the sadness of the past behind him, and face the future with love and life. I smiled throughout, but there were tender moments that brought a tear to my eye. I loved spending Christmas in Scotland with Juliette and Andrew, and look forward to reading more from this author!
Juliette was planning to spend a quite Christmas home alone when an emergancy came up at work and in just minutes her holiday plan went from home alone, to going on a film shoot, with just her and a handsome camera man she hardly knew, to Scotland to do a film in a haunted house. And the best little extra her boss handing her a company credit card for "all expences including clothes",she only had one hour to shop and get to the train station. Awe perfect end to her year, she grabbed the card and ran.
Heart warming, sweet little read.
This is a great Christmas romance by Scarlet Wilson. Dedicated to her job and not in the holiday mood, Juliette gives up her Christmas to travel to Scotland with her coworker Andrew to film an episode of their show. It turns out that Andrew is laird of the mansion where they will be filming. The magic of Christmas brings these two closer and closer together. This is a heartwarming story that will tug on your emotions and make you believe in happy endings.
I purchased this book because it was labeled as a holiday romance between coworkers. What I got was a charming 30-something, handsome guy who not only is in love with his beautiful co-anchor, but stubbornly uses excuses not to restore his family's ancestral home and his brother's passing as prime reasons not to celebrate Christmas. Juliette spends the majority of the story trying to help Andrew heal all the while falling in love with him. I'm sorry to say that what little romance there is in the last 10 pages with the epilogue being too brief. Not really recommend for a holiday read.

Who knew? Andrew is a man of many secrets. He is carrying so much pain in his heart. He hasn't faced the death of his brother to leukemia over twenty years ago. Juliette is feeling undesirable since Rod left her. The attraction between these two keeps growing as they spend time together. Their romance is very tender and touching. These two are the perfect couple. Garnock Hall with its dark history add a touch of the supernatural to the story. The house has seen so much. I was overcome when Andrew went to his brother's room and finally acknowledge his loss and accepted that he needed to move on. Scarlet Wilson created characters that I liked and a story that touched me. I loved Christmas With The Laird.
